Abortion Information and FundingAbortion Advocacy HotlineNRO provides abortion information, referrals, and funding. Our hotline is staffed 24/7 by volunteers who provide pregnancy options counseling, assistance with Oregon Health Plan applications, abortion referrals, information and funding. Women In Need (WIN) Fund Access to safe and legal abortion is not just a matter of finding a provider. Women face many other small and large barriers which can make getting access to an abortion difficult. These barriers include: the cost of an abortion procedure, costs of prescriptions, transportation, lodging and child care. NRO's most direct form of service to women is our hotline phone where they or their healthcare providers can speak with a trained advocate about accessing the fund, as well as receive information about abortion and abortion aftercare, and help in navigating the healthcare system including Oregon Health Plan. The NRO WIN fund is not only available to Oregon women seeking abortions services, but to those who are facing obstacles that would prevent them from receiving the help they need and empowering themselves in this very personal and important decision.
